An elevator is a structure designed to store large quantities of grain and bring it to the required condition. It is a highly-mechanized silo-type grain storage facility.

Features and Technologies
The main part of an elevator is the silos used for grain storage. Both conical and flat-bottom silos are employed for storage volumes ranging from 200 to 900 tons. For larger storage needs (1,000 to 15,000 tons), flat-bottom silos are more practical.
